A 15-year-old girl is seriously injured in hospital after being involved in a car crash.

The teenager was the passenger in a Ford KA driven by an 18-year-old man at the time of the crash on Saturday afternoon.

The pair were travelling south on Old Broyle Road, Chichester at about 2.30pm on Saturday when the teenage driver lost control of the car on a bend and hit a tree.

The driver suffered slight injuries and his passenger was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with serious injuries, where she is still fighting for her life.
