I WOULD like to thank The Argus for printing the item on Ollie, the lost cat, who escaped from my house while staying on holiday.
While searching for Ollie I took in two unneutered stray toms and, as nobody appeared to be missing them, they’ve stayed with me.
Cats are resilient and opportunistic so I’m sure the majority find another home when they stray but that doesn’t stop the worry or heartache of people who love their lost cat.
For the record, black, short-haired Ollie had a distinctive white whisker on his tail and another on his left hip.
If you or anyone else you know took such a cat into their home in late July or August, please get in touch. His owners will be eternally grateful.
