A man is due to appear in court accused of a Brighton nightclub attack which left a reveller fighting for his life.
Chancey Cummings, 25, of no fixed address, was arrested in London on Saturday and charged late last night.
He is accused of assaulting Ricky Brown, also 25, from Brighton, in an alley at the side of the Ocean Rooms in Morley Street early on New Year's Day.
Mr Brown needed emergency brain surgery and remains in a critical condition at Hurstwood Park Neurosciences Centre in Haywards Heath.
Cummings is due to appear at Brighton Magistrates' Court today.
