Worthing Hospital is currently experiencing problems with its phone system.

Incoming calls are being delayed and when eventually connected some callers are being cut-off.

The problem will be rectified as soon as possible but meanwhile members of the public are being urged not to call unless it is urgent.

The hospital is operating normally and patients with appointments should attend as arranged.

The problem is also affecting the switchboard at Southlands Hospital in Shoreham.

Hospital managers have apologised for the inconvenience and hope to have things resolved in the next few hours.
