I WRITE to advise you of my recent accident in Queen’s Road, Brighton.

As the pavements had not been gritted or salted I had a really bad fall at the junction with North Road.

As I fell I hit the back of my head heavily on the untreated pavement and passers-by called a paramedic.

I have since suffered a dull headache and hope I may have got away lightly with my injuries. I cannot understand how such a major bus route and thoroughfare was not treated.

While the paramedic attended to me, about 40 other people fell over at that junction.

I would like to voice my disgust at the council for not ensuring public safety.
