Brighton Council has approved plans for major work to be carried out at the junction of Falmer Rd and Warren Rd in Woodingdean.
The junction is an "accident black spot" and there are heavy traffic jams in all directions, especially during peak times.
Residents were asked for their views of the plans for the Junction and most approved but with some reservations about aspects of the scheme.
It is expected that the work will be carried out in the next year.
