I was amazed to read (The Argus, December 29) of the attack by bosses at the British Heart Foundation on their hard-working collection teams in Sussex.
They have to work in all weathers and encounter a variety of difficulties on the road, not least personal attacks because of the charity’s use of live animal experiments.
Support and encouragement is what these dedicated staff need, not criticism that their efforts have fallen by a fifth.
I for one will now be supporting a charity which values its street workers.
