Changes to children’s centres in Brighton and Hove have been given the go-ahead.
The £100,000 centre will be based at Fairlight Primary School in St Leonards Road, Brighton, and will be linked with City View Children’s Centre at Brighton General Hospital.
The money will be spent on converting an existing classroom at the school and providing a separate entrance.
It will be paid for by reducing funding at Shenfield Way, an office base for staff who work in the Hollingdean Children’s Centre, from £200,000 to £100,000.
Proposals to extend the building on the first and ground floors, provide a lift and refurbish the whole building have now been scaled down to refurbish just the ground floor.
