Whilst everyone enjoys or suffers as a result of the snow, please spare a thought for the British and international volunteers who are taking part in the Viva Palestina/ Palestine Solidarity Convoy, delivering humanitarian aid (medical aid, food and educational materials) to the people of Palestine.
They have been away for one month and are suffering at the hands of the Egyptian authorities, who have scandalously prevented them from travelling and, on Tuesday evening, violently assaulted many members of the convoy.
It is, of course, outrageous that this has not received national media attention, but if anyone wants to add to the pressure on the Egyptian authorities to allow this essential aid into Palestine, where people are dying as a result of a lack of medical aid caused by the Israeli blockade, please visit www.viva palestina.org to find out how you can help.
