I have had to rest up a bit after picking up some inflammation of the Anterior Tibialis tendon sheath (it runs from big toe to ankle, then up to the knee) in the Sussex Beacon half marathon last weekend so have mainly been working on the cross-trainer to keep my fitness up.

I would also have done some swimming but I've just had a new tattoo done so that's out for the next week!

I did help out with parkrun again. I was given a bit more responsibility this week, handing out the finishing position tags as runners crossed the line. Saying "well done", and "good effort" 233 times was tough, but I got through it with only one minor error which was thankfully eclipsed by another volunteer, who shall remain nameless, sending the lead runner down the wrong path! Thankfully he wasn't on for a course record otherwise it could have got ugly!

I will attempt a gentle run on Wednesday and see how I go with that. I really need to get some decent mileage on my long runs because I need to start tapering in four weeks!
