Leon Knight revealed today he could be the next player to leave Albion.

The £250,000 departure of midfielder Darren Currie was followed on Friday by captain Danny Cullip's move to Sheffield United for the same initial fee.

Knight, back to his best in Friday night's 1-0 home defeat by Stoke, said: "I've got five months left on my contract until the end of the season.

"I haven't been offered a new contract and everyone respects Danny Cullip's decision.

"It's looking like it is going the same way for other players, including me, but we've got to put that all behind us.

"We played well on Friday, so hopefully we can just push on. We are creating chances and it's just a matter of time before we start hitting the back of the net."

Knight believes he can strike up a profitable partnership with Mark McCammon, who made his debut against Stoke on a month's loan from Millwall.

"It was good," said Knight. "He knows what he is doing. He has got a striker's mentality. We will just have to keep working hard together in training and see how it goes."

Manager Mark McGhee said: "We are still looking to maybe add another loan player but I think there is a combination there between Leon and Mark, and that gives us the opportunity to put Adam Virgo back into the defence."

Knight is suspended for Sunday's relegation battle at home to Gillingham after his controversial fifth booking of the season against Stoke.
