The Trades Union Congress (TUC) has unveiled its final agenda to be debated over four days in Brighton next month.
Topics to be discussed will include proposed civil service job cuts, reform of working time rules and the pensions crisis.
Motions include calls for improved maternity and parental rights.
Highlights of the 136th TUC Congress, from September 13 to 16 at the Brighton Centre, will include a speech by Sebastian Coe, head of the London 2012 Olympics bid.
Improving conditions for migrant workers, the forthcoming referendum on the European Constitution and the UK's growing obesity problem will also come under scrutiny.
