I read with interest in Monday's evening edition about this year's Hanover Day and agree fully with all you reported.
However, I was surprised not to be able to read of the procession from the church carrying the image of Our Lady following the parish Mass which always begins our Hanover Day celebrations.
I realise, of course, that for many the church is not a part of their lives but I believe Hanover Day is a success because of the immense time given to praying for the day and the support of local people, business and the Hanover Community Association working in partnership.
So it was sad that the wonderful flower festival in celebration of 140 years witness to the Hanover community and of the "Over The Rainbow" theme was not reported. I hope the balance might be corrected.
