Captain of the England football team David Beckham is to remain the face of mobile phone giant Vodafone for another year.
The Real Madrid midfielder, whose image has been used by Vodafone for the past two years, will play a "significant role" in a forthcoming advertising campaign.
No price was put on the contract, although Beckham has already earned millions from endorsements of products ranging from sportswear to sunglasses.
Vodafone said his image would also be used in games and screensavers on the company's multimedia service Vodafone live!
The renewal follows a turbulent few months for the star, who was criticised for his performances at Euro 2004 and was earlier the subject of newspaper allegations he had an affair.
Vodafone campaigns featuring the England star have been used in Britain, the US, Spain and Japan.
The player also has deals with hair care product range Brylcreem, Police sunglasses, Pepsi and Marks & Spencer.
