I feel sorry for the shop in Brighton which is being persecuted by the council for putting in a window that "didn't fit in with the area".

So, at the expense of the owner, who is probably not making a fortune out of the business and might go bust, the window has to be removed.

This is strange - a certain large supermarket chain that fitted windows against the wishes of the council still has the ugly windows in place.

Why is this? Oh, I forgot, the company lost the other windows. Or is it a case of large businesses putting their money in the right places?
