A man accused of wounding Sarah Payne's killer, Roy Whiting, in prison was due to appear in court today.
Rickie Tregaskis, 34, previously pleaded not guilty at Leeds Crown Court to wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and was due to appear for trial.
He is accused of attacking Whiting on August 4 2002 in Wakefield prison.
Whiting was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of the eight-year-old three years ago.
Sarah disappeared near her grandparents' home in Kingston Gorse, near Littlehampton, in July 2001. Her body was found 17 days later.
