Oh dear, when you can't or won't hit out at those who are to blame for this country's ills - politicians, activists - who then shall we throw brickbats at? Ah yes - the monarchy.

Dennis Stuart really is living in a little world of his own if he thinks that getting rid of the monarchy would miraculously rid us of the us-and-them syndrome.

He forgets that millions and millions of people from poor backgrounds have made their fortunes in business, sport etc, without having the "it's not what you know but who you know" background. They have done it through sheer hard work and talent.

The Queen has served this country well. The lack of privacy, constant media intrusion etc, means that, in reality, it is a God-forsaken job.

I wouldn't be a monarch for all the tea in China. The monarchial system like the monarch isn't perfect but then a perfect person or system doesn't exist, or never will exist.

The fact that she has made mistakes in the past, shows she is probably more like a normal human being than we think.

So, Mr Stuart, when you have a bee in your bonnet, don't take it out on those who can't answer back.

Take it out on those who really do the dirty work - the politicians.
