The answer to the question "Has Ms.Knight got a blue badge for life?" (Letters, Mar 25) is no she has not.
After three years she is required to apply for a renewal, supply a recent photograph, sign a declaration that her original condition has not improved and pay a fee of £2.
This information can be checked with her doctor and falsification is a very serious offence.
The original application would have been approved by her doctor in his professional opinion and renewal is required every three years thereafter.
