Denis Christian's letter (December 5), ostensibly in praise of Julie Burchill, was really a dig at Roger French and his Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company.
He is, indeed, fortunate to have five buses an hour using his road. However, I have the advantage of him as I have twelve buses an hour (six in each direction) using my road.
My only complaint is that this frequency drops off to a half-hourly service in the evening and on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Mr Christian doesn't appear to approve of Mr French's reply to him.
I can only say that, in my many dealings with Roger French, I have always found him friendly, courteous and able to provide a thoughtful and well-argued response.
