We are pleased that a study for a tall buildings strategy has now been produced but do the public realise there are many "nodes" and "corridors" identified in the policy as suitable for tall buildings within Brighton and Hove?

These are:

Nodes: Brighton Marina, Central Seafront, Brighton Station East, Hove Station, Shoreham Harbour.

Corridors: London Road, Preston Road and Park, Lewes Road, Eastern Road, Western Seafront, Kingsway, Station Road and Boundary Road.

We are mystified that public response should be made to the council by December 19. There should be a public participation exercise before comments are made.

There appears to be very little effort by the council to inform the public what is being decided and how their views can be taken into consideration.

The complete strategy is not available on the internet. It is available as a £10 CD or a £40 copy and can only be viewed at libraries or council offices.

If the council wants the public to read it and encourage their opinions, surely greater publicity, time and access is necessary?
