Regarding the proposed closure of Hove Library and moving the books and facilities to the Town Hall Banqueting Suite, is it not a fact that the room in the town hall generates income from functions for the council taxpayer?
If so, the proposed move would cut off that source of income.
When the brand-new Brighton library opens, Councillors could decide to move all the books there from Hove Town Hall and then reopen the Banqueting Suite to start generating income again.
Then there would be no Hove Library at all.
