I agree with everything Allen Tullett says about our treatment of the Diego Garcians.
It makes me ashamed of being British. As regards the comments of John Hall, I don't imagine the government of the day gave the island away for nothing.
People without savings cannot access privately rented property because the month's rent in advance and damage deposit runs into hundreds of pounds.
Without a home they cannot get a job. Is there no fund which could raise enough money at least to pay these charges and give them a start?
