MR BONGO PRESENTS, Komedia, Brighton, Sept 19: Brighton goes Brazilian as a selection of the artists signed to this local record label play their grooves. Performances include a live set from Bazeado, a five-piece from Sao Paulo fronted by former Brazilian soap star Pedro Martins. COSMIC ROUGH RIDERS, Concorde 2, Brighton, Sept 20: A chirpy indie band of Glaswegians formed in the late Nineties by Stephen Fleming and Daniel Wylie, who has since left. They've been churning out tunes and touring the world ever since and scored guest slots with Stereophonics, Paul Weller and U2. Their latest single, Justify The Rain, came out earlier this month. JASON MRAZ, Concorde 2, Brighton, Sept 22: Following a support slot on Tracy Chapman's tour in March and a headline tour in June, this singer/songwriter who rose out of the coffee shop culture in San Diego, returns to the UK for the third time. SYD LAWRENCE ORCH-ESTRA, Hove Town Hall, Sept 26: This 35-year-old ensemble takes its traditional big band swing music to about 150 venues a year. This performance features Brighton girl Angie Mills who began singing professionally at 18, went on to establish herself as one of the South's leading jazz singers and released an acclaimed album, Too Much In Love.
