Dr Martens: Fabian Forde will go from international hero to bit-part player again tomorrow when he returns to the substitutes' bench for Crawley Town.

The striker was on target for Barbados under-23s on Sunday as they lost the first leg of an Olympic qualifying tie 4-1 against Guyana.

But the high did not last long for the 21-year-old former Watford player as he was brought back down to earth with a bump by Reds boss Francis Vines.

Vines said: "I am pleased for Fabian that he scored for his country but now he has got to come back and show that he can do it for us as well.

"The fact that he scored doesn't change anything. He will have to wait his turn like everyone else trying to get into the team."

Forde has not started a game for Crawley all season and missed the Reds' last two matches in order to represent his country.

He rushed back from South America to train on Thursday in the hope he could force a way into the starting line-up for the trip to Dr Martens premier division strugglers Newport County. But despite his international exploits Vines has told Forde he is still behind Albion loanees Carl Wilson-Denis and Daniel Marney in the pecking order.

Vines said: "I have two guys on loan that have scored four goals each since joining us so I am hardly likely to change things up front. That means Fabian will be on the bench again at Newport."

Vines is set to name an unchanged side to the one which beat Cambridge on Tuesday with Peter Fear holding on to his place as Paul Armstrong is missing due to a family bereavement.

Burgess Hill have no new injury worries ahead of their FA Cup clash with Abingdon United tomorrow. Nicky Wyatt and Ashley Carr are again pushing for places.
