What strange comments from David Bennett (Letters, September 9) about Jenny Barnard-Langston.
We should be pleased that Jenny is prepared to challenge the council as few others seem to be doing so.
So she had the courage to change her political allegiance - there are many great thinkers, including Churchill, who have done so.
New Labour would not have been elected had many disillusioned Conservative voters not voted for them.
Conservatives have yet to convince Brighton and Hove they could be trusted to run the council.
Come on, Mr Bennett, show some respect for Jenny. She has always worked hard and was a great Mayor.
