A police car crashed en route to a street fight involving 15 people.
The Ford Focus patrol car was in a collision with a Renault and Vauxhall Astra at the junction of Cromwell Road and The Drive, Hove, shortly after 8pm yesterday.
No one was injured but the vehicles were seriously damaged.
Drivers were breath-tested but results were negative. An investigation into the crash was launched.
Other police attended the street disturbance in Buckley Close, Hangleton.
A force spokeswoman said: "It was a squabble which officers quickly dealt with. No action was taken."
