Defeat for Herstmonceux at the hands of champions Glynde sent them down as Ringmer and Newick did enough to survive.

Ringmer won a low scoring clash with Crowhurst Park. Victor Walcott and Paul Brookes took four wickets apiece as Ringmer were dismissed for 109, with Simon Pugh (30 not out) and Neil Thornicroft (30) sharing the bulk of the runs.

Newick lost at DPB (Eastbourne), who had already been relegated, but their 11 points gained were enough to lift them above Herstmonceux.

Skipper Devraj Jadeja top scored with 45 as Newick posted 191 all out, with Steve Oakes' 4-94 off 23 overs being the pick of the bowling. DPB then knocked off the runs with seven wickets to spare thanks to Terry Penfold (55), Oakes (43 not out) and Richard Horne (43).

Chiddingly clinched runners-up spot after a comfortable home win over Seaford. John Puttick's 45 helped the hosts recover from 82-5 to post 188-9, then Zubin Bhettay took 6-53 to dismiss Seaford for 99.

Heathfield Park finished third after scoring 216-8 against Fletching which included 50 not out from Kevin Noon. The former champions had been reduced to 91-6 when the rain intervened and proceedings came to an early end.
