Blackboys will meet East Dean in the final of the Cuckmere Valley League's Tommy Lusted tournament at Laughton this Saturday.

Greg Dann bowled Blackboys to victory away to Denton while East Dean won their final by three wickets at Selmeston.

Knocks of 36 by Nick Walters and 25 by Colin Albright helped Blackboys to a respectable total of 192-9.

In reply, Martin Foard hit 64 and Dave Ellis 37 but Dann claimed 5-28 to restrict the hosts to 169-9.

Mick Baldwin hit 39 as Selmeston totalled 121-9 but East Dean passed that with four balls to spare thanks mainly to some disciplined batting by Andy Bush (40) and Mike Bush (34).

Alfriston will meet Firle II in the Plate final at Denton.

Lee Poulton struck 123 and John Harmer 71 as Alfriston made 253-4 from their 40 overs against Isfield.

Tim Hurst then took 4-8 to dismiss the visitors for 96.

Poulton's knock was his tenth century of the summer and he has now scored a phenomenal 2,414 runs in league, cup and friendly games this season.

Greg Pickard (80) and Charlie Grave (48) helped Firle to a 66-run win against their own first team.
