In response to your article on David Panter's spending on "entertainment" and his extortionate £25,000 pay rise, I would credit it.

As a working taxpayer it seems we are only important when the bill arrives. If, in normal circumstances, you are not happy with what you are paying for, you don't buy it.

Although it seems the majority of people are apathetic, I know there is a growing number who are becoming more and more disenchanted with what is happening in the city - parking, roadworks, speed cameras, the West Pier and the Royal Sussex County Hospital to name but a few issues.

I begrudge my money being wasted.
