There's a lot going on this bank holiday weekend to keep clubbers busy.

London club PUSHCA rolls into Brighton on Friday August 22 for what has been billed an evening of "polysexual perfection". Matt Majestic, the Lego Boys, Adam K and Johnny Nicely will be providing the soundtrack at the Honeyclub.

Also on August 22, Ivan Smagghe, half of Black Strobe, will be playing STOMPAPHUNK at the Funky Buddha Lounge. I don't know much about him but he comes highly recommended by a couple of my (far cooler) mates.

August 23 should be a big one at the Escape as Dr Bob Jones (Southport/Chillifunk) does EVERY DAY PEOPLE.

DEFECTED IN DA HOUSE AT THE ZAP is almost too tempting, what with (drumroll please) Sandy Rivera headlining.

Remember to pace yourself, it's going to be a long weekend of fun in (hopefully) the sun. Here's the best of the rest:

SEVENSINS, Honeyclub, August 24: It will be the last bank holiday for a while so there's no excuse not to let your hair down and enjoy it right up to the last second. What better way to do so than at this Sunday Special Sevensins Party? Radio 1 jock Fergie is at this date known for great tunes and luscious dcor. Add to that an up-for-it crowd and a top atmosphere and you have the makings of a banging bank holiday. Expect pumping house and trance in the main room and a strong line-up in the back. It runs from 10pm to 4am. Entry is £10/12. Tel 07000 446639.

STICK IT ON Bank Holiday Special, King and Queen, Brighton, August 24: To mark their third birthday, the boys from Stick It On have organised a bank holiday special. The legendary DJ Derek will wow the crowd with a mix of dub, reggae, calypso and soul. Following that will be a 45-minute slot dedicated to Elvis Presley's timeless music and then 16 wannabe DJs will spin their favourite "choons". This is always a great opportunity to dig out your most outlandish clobber, dance to your favourite sounds and just have a good time in a chilled atmosphere. It runs from 3pm until late. Tickets will set you back £8 and are now available from Mau Mau and the mighty Rounder Records.

BOUTIQUE, Concorde 2, Brighton, August 22: Tonight's Boutique has Hybrid playing live and Skint artist Freq Nasty on the decks (not forgetting the Remote Control DJs in the Little Bar Boutique).
