The Green Party stood at the election on a promise to "save our seafront".
Sue Paskins even led the bid to stop the West Pier development on the basis of the loss of sea views and then got elected on the back of it.
Lots of people believed the Greens' promises and also took their environmental pledges at face value.
How let down these people must now feel knowing that their vote has gone to destroy Hove's sea views and build an environmental disaster which will scar our seafront for generations to come.
The Green Party's support for the King Alfred plans is another case of its shameful opportunism and it will pay the price at the next elections.
