One of the country's most spectacular adventure golf courses is revitalising Hastings' previously shabby seafront.

The Hastings Adventure Golf Course, officially opened by the Town Mayor Phil Scott last week, has 13 fountains, seven waterfalls and 8,000 gallons of circulating water, It is seen as part of the regeneration of the town.

With a massive government re-generation grant and classy new shopping areas, the town is getting a continental feel with many new cafes and pubs opening.

The golf course is open from10am to 11pm with the greens and fountains lit up at night to provide a lively and attractive spectacle for passers-by.

The course will stay open every day of the year, apart from Christmas Day, although the man behind the venture, Sussex businessman Chris Richards says he will even open then if demand is there.

He spent three years researching and building the course, which cost more than £500,000 and it is already proving popular.
