Brighton and Hove City Council's policy is to use all available brownfield sites to its maximum potentiaI, to avoid building in the countryside (The Argus, June 18).
We should not assume that means all new developments have to be high rise.
Low rise, such as in the Hanover area, and medium rise - Milner and Kingswood flats - are also high density.
Richmond Hill flats do not have any more units of accommodation than the terraced houses they replaced.
Piers Gough's tower proposed for the Endeavour site does not include more flats than the six-storey scheme that already has planning permission for the site.
