I received a card from the Post Office telling me to go to the sorting office as there was a letter that had £1.20 to pay.
I duly went and paid the sum to get my letter. I found it was from a company which forgot to pay the 20p postage.
The other £1 was a "Revenue Protection handling fee" stamped over the letter as though it was my fault. Is this a new practice, fining the recipient?
I have already written to the company concerned and asked for the £1.20 as I didn't ask for the junk mail in the first place.
