Cuckmere Valley League: A week after being bowled out for just eight, second division leaders Caburn rattled up a huge 317-7 off 40 overs against Isfield.

James Harrington cracked 130 including 14 sixes and seven fours as Caburn scored at almost eight an over.

Harrington's 50 came off just 29 balls and his century was reached in 76 balls.

Caburn went on to win by 145 runs as promotion rivals Isfield were dismissed for 162.

In division one, Blackboys are now four points clear at the top of the table after second-placed Selmeston lost at home to reigning champions Alfriston, who now jump above them.

Blackboys dismissed Bells Yew Green for 131 despite 50 from Sanjay Patel.

Jonathan Eastoe took 3-18 for the leaders who then knocked off the runs in just 24 overs thanks to a quickfire 38 by Jamie Marchant, 37 from Mick Pilmoor and 33 not out by Matthew Bradford.

Alfriston chalked up 199-2 with Lee Poulton scoring 81 not out, John Harmer 53 and Matthew Harmer 48 not out. It was too much for Selmeston who were restricted to 185-8 in reply despite an unbeaten 77 from Adrian Beal and 53 by Mick Baldwin.

East Dean made 224-5 at Denton with contributions from Graham Primett (58), Tim Guest (48) and John Daubney (31). Martin Foard hit 99 for the hosts in reply but they were restricted to 207-7 with Daubney picking up 3-40.

Withyham won by six wickets at home to Firle, who were dismissed for 106 with Richard Piper taking 4-25.

Ian Adams (44 not out) and Piper (28) spearheaded the successful reply.
