West Sussex League: Palmers are the new division one leaders after a comfortable home win against Chichester Priory III.

Russ Ferrier was the star with bat and ball. First he hit 61 and, along with Nick Buckley (64) and Oliver Ferns (46 not out), helped the hosts race to 283-6. Then Ferrier waded into the hapless Priory reply of 67 all out to claim 6-9.

Former leaders Dome Mission suffered their first defeat of the season after going down by six wickets at St Matthias.

Niall Smith took 3-25 to restrict Mission to 186-8 and then hit an unbeaten 68 as the home side finished on 187-4. Steven Mander chipped in with a solid 55.

John Lush made a gutsy 85 to help Middleton to their second win of the season at Lancing Manor. Lush helped the visitors to 154-9 and the home side were 133 all out. Pat Woodward impressed for the Middleton attack by claiming 4-21.

West Blatchington eased to a seven-wicket win at Brighton Insurance to move third.

Rob Stickland helped skittle Insurance for 92 and the visitors reached their target for the loss of three wickets.

Three Bridges III picked up their first victory of the season after posting 204-3 to edge out Hove Medina.

Steve Harris (59), Steve Hill (41 not out) and Mark Tester (36 not out) did the damage after Hove had made 203-9, thanks to a solid half-century by Ian Soffe. Harris was the best Bridges bowler with four wickets.

Ram beat Crawley Eagles III at home after Giresh (47) and Kartik (40) helped them to 225 all out. Kartik then took 3-29 to leave Eagles all out for 133.

Three Bridges IV's poor run continued as they were dismissed for 90 and lost by a seven wickets to Findon III.
