Debbie Parrett smashed the season's highest score with an unbeaten 145 in the Central Sussex League.

Parrett's thundering knock helped Crawley Down to only their second win in eight matches as they demolished Cuckfield Village by 171 runs.

Parrett scored the lion's share of the runs as Down piled up 256-2, and the visitors stumbled to 85-7 in reply.

Tina Janman was only one run behind as title contenders Blackstone beat Lindfield by 61 runs.

She was undefeated on 144 as Blackstone reached 213-3. Lindfield made 152-7, with Michelle Batchelor top scoring with 90.

Leaders Horsted Keynes were beaten for the first time, managing only 139-7 against Handcross, who rattled up 171-1 with Linda Gann unbeaten on 72 and Linda Marks 62 not out.

Jane Silk is the run-getter in form in the Mid Division with 101 and 88 as Wivelsfield Green overcame Barcombe and Chailey.

Team-mate Karen Coleman was the star in the victory over Plumpton with a sparkling all-round effort, taking 7-18 and hitting 68 not out.

Other century-makers were Claire Reed with 133 for Fletching in the North Division and Pam Grinyer with 105 not out for Ashington in the West Division.
