Labour has been rightly punished for its arrogance and complacency.

Taking the votes cast across the whole of Brighton and Hove, the Conservatives scored 34 per cent against Labour's 32 per cent.

Clearly, the "time for a change" message resonated with the majority of those who voted.

Let's hope, now Labour councillors have been reduced in number, their egos might follow suit.

And then politicians of all parties should work for the good of all communities in this city, rather than for the favoured few.
