Never has there been such a crass proposal for over-development based purely on greed.

New buildings are proposed to be built on the site of Brighton Marina "Village Square" and two well-established pub-restaurants.

Two 14-storey eyesores to be built in the middle of such a well-established site is really not acceptable, any more than it would be to build on Brunswick Square or any other amenity site.

And what about the red and green colours? Is this a token gesture to the mariners or just a distraction to the objectors?

I notice also the inclusion of the mandatory buzzwords - "environmental" and "social housing" - these always help with planning applications.

If these proposals are accepted in any shape or form, many others and I will lose faith forever in our local and government planning procedures.
