Former Albion forward Paul Dickov is excited by the possibility of partnering Bobby Zamora in the Premiership next season for tomorrow's opponents Leicester.

Foxes boss Micky Adams revealed to The Argus before Christmas that Zamora, his shrewdest signing for the Seagulls, was his top transfer target.

Dickov and Zamora are on opposite sides at the Walkers Stadium tomorrow, but Leicester's pint-sized spearhead would love to link up with the Albion ace.

"I think Bobby Zamora is a fantastic player," Dickov said. "I have seen him a few times on TV and he looks a top talent.

"He has got everything. He is a great finisher and he is at the right age, so it is not surprising a lot of clubs are looking at him.

"If we get promoted we are going to want to bring in quality players and he is quality. Micky knows him well and it would not surprise me if he was a target."

Dickov, signed on loan for the Seagulls by Liam Brady from Arsenal nine years ago, is enjoying his most prolific season with 20 goals. He wants to add to his tally tomorrow and then see his old club survive.

The Scot, on target five times in eight games for Albion, said: "I had a great time there. I loved every minute of it and it has stuck with me.

"I've always looked out for Brighton since then and I want them to do well, apart from Saturday! I'd love to score for Leicester's sake, but I would love Brighton to stay up. I'd take a win for us and wins for Brighton in the rest of their games."

Adams said: "I think 49 points will keep them up, so they have got to look to win three games. Draws are no good to them. It is probably one of the biggest games in our recent history. It means so much to everybody and we know what we've got to do."
