Louise Moore is well on her way to becoming the next Carrie Bradshaw, TV's Sex And The City footwear fanatic.

The 22-year-old from Crawley has more than 100 pairs of shoes and says she cannot stop buying more to add to her ever-growing collection.

Like the character of Carrie, a New York newspaper columnist, Louise, who is a shop assistant at Oasis, in County Mall, Crawley, admits it has become a bit of an obsession.

She and her sister Alison own around 250 pairs of shoes between them. They have been forced to set aside their spare room for storage.

Louise, whose model looks have won her a place in the final of a competition run by Premier Model Management, said: "My mum said when I was younger and people came to the house I'd line all their shoes up on the floor, so I there's always been a bit of an obsession.

"I've always been into shoes. It's a life-long thing. I'd hate to think how much I've spent."

The sisters, who live next door to their parents in Furnace Green, have an impressive selection of footwear.

Karen Millen strappy sandals fight for floor space with Gucci court shoes and a plethora of painfully high stilettos from Bertie, Office, and River Island.

Some, like the Gucci court shoes, have only been worn once. Others have never been out of the box and sit in display cases or on shelves.

Like the TV character Carrie, Louise has a weakness for Jimmy Choo.

Her prized possession is a pair of purple sparkly boots by the top designer, which she found in the January sale in London this year.

At less than half price (she paid £175), Louise reckons they were a bargain.

She said: "I'm running out of space but I still keep buying them. I've got the eye of a magpie, I love anything sparkly and pretty. The higher and strappier, the better.

"I don't know what we'll do if we ever move out of this house and have to separate our collection."

The pair live with Alison's boyfriend, Chris Trevor, who does not mind giving up a room to store the shoes.

Louise said: "Any boy who loves us has to love our shoes. Luckily, Chris is quite into fashion and has a few items of quality footwear himself. He recently got a pair of Gucci loafers."

Louise, who did an HND in footwear design, wants to go back to college to do a degree in the subject.

She said: "It would combine my ideal career and perfect pastime. It would also save me a fortune if I could make them myself rather than buying them."
