I just could not believe it when I heard Brighton and Hove City Council was considering the introduction of 10mph "Home Zones" in Hanover ward.
When traffic calming was initially being discussed for the Poets Corner area, I suggested a 20mph "Pedestrian Zone". The council refused to even consider the idea.
It would appear whether or not your ideas receive any consideration must depend on which political party you are representing.
