She may have her critics but glamour girl Jordan also has her fans - by the sackload.

The problem is, what with new motherhood and her jet-set party lifestyle, the Brighton belle appears to have become too busy to answer all her fan mail. Or, indeed, collect it.

The Argus became the headquarters of Jordan's fan club when her modelling career was just taking off.

Now she has become much bigger, so to speak, the piles of letters, postcards and saucy gifts grow larger every week.

Everyone, it seems, has something they want to get off their chest with her.

Post has been piling up at our Hollingbury offices for months but the new mum, real name Katie Price, has not been able to find the time to pick it up.

One man, a certain "Ritchie" from New York, has sent hundreds of letters to the sex-symbol.

Other well-wishers hail from across the world including, perhaps surprisingly, the Middle East, and, maybe less surprisingly, Germany.

This week it was decided something had to be done.

If Jordan wouldn't come to the mail mountain, we would take the mountain to her.

So, to ease the aching hearts of her devotees around the world, The Argus sent reporter James Lancaster off with the sack to Chez Kate .

Sadly, she was elsewhere.

A gardener tending her lawn seemed somewhat taken aback when offered the bulging Royal Mail bag.

And the smart enamel letterbox at her Sussex home almost shuddered upon our approach - there was no way some of the more unusually shaped items were going to fit.

Manager Dave Reid confirmed Jordan had been away in the US for much of this year although she was now back, flitting between Sussex and London.

He assured us Jordan had not forgotten her fans and the mail would be picked up from our offices shortly.

Until then, keep writing.
