Which planet have Gordon McPhee and John Wescott been living on for the past year or two (Letters, March 13 and 17)?

There was an independent evaluation of all possible sites for a community stadium from which Waterhall was rejected for numerous reasons that have been stated repeatedly in the Press.

Mr Wescott also favours a railway halt being built at Waterhall, a great idea but already ruled out as technically impossible.

I suggest he attends the public inquiry to acquaint himself with the facts before accusing others of only possessing "half an ounce of common sense".
