Big Errol Seaman is starting to flex his muscles in Brighton Bears' battle for the British League title.
The big Londoner has been Bears' most improved player in recent weeks and has helped them to a run of six straight wins ahead of tonight's re-match with Essex Leopards.
Increased minutes during his team's recent injury problems have helped Seaman rediscover his form after struggling to make the desired impact off the bench earlier in the season.
It is a timely boost for coach Nick Nurse as his side aim to complete a clean sweep against Leopards and open a two-point lead over Sheffield.
Bears won by 14 points in Essex on Sunday and Seaman said: "I can see it being more of the same this time "We've turned things around after our three-game skid but I was in no doubt we would pick it up when our injuries cleared.
"We are getting our swagger back and, although Sheffield will be tough games, I'm not overly worried about anyone else right now."
Seaman offered his first signs of improvement towards the end of the last winning run with an impressive second quarter display at London Towers.
He had six points and eight boards in defeat at Chester and registered six and seven in 20 minutes against Birmingham.
As for improved confidence, fans saw the benefit and the flipside of that near the end of last Saturday's third quarter against Chester.
First, the self-belief to attempt a risky long pass which John Thomas picked off and punished with two points.
Then a precise jump shot and a hook over Pero Cameron for the last four points in the period to cut arrears to just 64-62 at the final break.
He admitted: "Earlier on in the season I wasn't playing so well but getting that extra court time helped my confidence.
"I was getting a bit frustrated. Emiko (Etete) told me I was coming out in fifth gear when I should have been starting in third and working my way into the game.
"I was trying too hard but that happens when you don't have much time. I would like to play more but I can't argue with the boss. Look at our record this season.
"I just go out there and do the job I'm called upon to do, whether it be for a minute or three or longer."
Amid Bears' high profile fitness and suspension problems, Seaman sat out five games with a knee injury, making his comeback for 56 seconds of action in the National Cup final.
He revealed: "The injury set me back more than I expected. I thought I was ready to come back earlier than I really was and it took me a while to regain my match sharpness."
Heis back in business now though, be it doing unseen dirty work around the basket, coming up with a dunk or a jumper or even that deft little up-and-under move which provided his team's final points against Newcastle.
He said: "I've got a few like that in my repertoire. Hopefully people will get to see them but right now it's all about the team."
Bears are charging a flat rate £5 per person to see tonight's game. There will be no family tickets available.
