Unbeaten leaders Horsham should clinch promotion from Division One (South) of the British League this weekend at Slough.
They take part in the final session of four matches with top England junior Dominic Hall, at No 2.
Horsham captain Andy Walker is expected to select himself and Peter Bartram, while Terry Haley and Mayur Majithia could occupy the third and fourth spots.
Clubs are waiting for a decision on the premier division format for next season. There is a move to use four weekends instead of 14 separate matches.
Sussex complete their County Championship schedule with four matches at Grantham on March 22. Only if they win all four can they clinch the gold medal. Silver or bronze seems the most likely outcome.
Ritchie Venner (Hastings) was the winner of a second-tier Grand Prix tournament at Hitchen on Sunday. In the final, he defeated Roy Norton (Worcester) 11-4, 11-5, 11-4.
Venner and Sally Weston (Horsham) have moved up the national ranking lists.
Following two excellent performances for Darlington in the British League, Venner is up six places to No.33 and Weston has moved up five places to No.19.
