I refer to the article "New homes threat to county's roads" (The Argus, November 21).
My company is happy to respond to the comments of Christopher Maidment. We have made no secret of the fact that tackling transport improvements is our number-one priority and I can guarantee residents of Burgess Hill will see substantial improvements if our ideas go ahead.
The Highways Agency has made a commitment to improvements along the A23 and these will be completed in the next few years. Our ongoing discussions with SouthCentral trains and local bus operators means a truly integrated, better public transport system is achievable.
