Former Albion striker Scott Ramsay was back to his best as Eastbourne Borough cruised into the second round with a 4-1 win over Hertford Town.
Ramsay scored twice and made the other two goals in a tie which saw Borough looking a class above the Ryman League division one north strugglers.
Hertford arrived at Priory Lane intent on packing their defence, but with John Westcott a continual threat on the right flank, Garry Wilson's men could easily have doubled their tally.
Wilson said: "It can be difficult to move teams who come looking for a draw but we stuck to our task and in the end looked much the better side."
Andy Ducille converted a low cross from Ramsay to put Borough ahead on the half hour.
Hertford bounced straight back with a scrambled equaliser from Kevin Cooper within two minutes.
It was all Borough, however, and a superb Ramsay header from a Daren Pearce cross restored the home advantage in the 39th minute.
When Ramsay swept the third Eastbourne goal into the roof of the net in the 53rd minute, it was all over bar the shouting.
Ducille hit the bar before Ramsay found Matt Smart who completed the scoring six minutes from time.
