An inquest on a woman who died from a gunshot wound at a house in Hellingly opened yesterday.
Trudy Hall, 53, of Park Road, was discovered dead at her home on October 24.
A post-mortem examination revealed she died from a gunshot injury to the head.
Charles Hall, 68, of the same address, has been charged with her murder and will appear at Lewes Crown Court next Wednesday.
Coroner Alan Craze, sitting at Eastbourne, adjourned the inquest.
