While waiting in central Brighton for a No 7 bus home, an elderly lady had a panic attack from angina.
The young man from the cafe where we were standing must have been aware of this and acted quickly, bringing out a chair for her and calling the paramedics, who seemed to come out of nowhere.
The young paramedic got out his equipment and gave the lady oxygen but, not being satisfied, got the ambulance service out to be on the safe side. I hope this lady is doing well.
God bless our ambulance service. What would we do without these men and women - and the firefighters who work hand-in-hand?
